Brinkman BBQ Grill Review

Written by Dr. Grill on January 16, 2010 – 4:30 pm -

At a line review of the new 2010 bbq grill line up our nerd lab got a look at a new Brinkman Duel fuel grill. This new grill combines the best of both worlds. If you feel like just turinging on the grill for a quick after work hamburger you have the option of just firing up the propane side of the grill. If you have the weekend to enjoy the deeper flavor of a charcoal grilling experience you can leave the propane off, and fill up the right side of the grill with charcoal and let the grilling begin. The BBQ grill features a split hood so you can open one or both sides of the grill. The entire BBQ grill has a large cooking surface, but our research indicates you would not want to use both sides at once. the main benefit here is being able to... more

HotSpot NoteBook BBQ Grill

Written by Dr. Grill on January 9, 2010 – 9:40 pm -

I bought this grill for this summers motorcycle camping adventures. I can’t think of a better use for this grill. Narrower main body section gives many options for tying down, and on my bike (a shadow 750) the bottom “foot hole” was able to go over and around my sissy bar and sit on my rack. Pretty sweet. 2 up camping now comes with a BBQ! The Bad (at least for motorcycle camping): It is a bit flimsy (but quite stable when open for grilling). With care, I am expecting to get about 50 or so BBQs out of it. After it falls apart I am planning to go to a metal shop in town and have it re-fabricated in some heaver gauge steel. I would be willing to have a little heaver (and smaller) grill for motorcycle camping if it was durable.... more

Traeger Wood Pellett Grills; Traeger Junior

Written by Dr. Grill on January 9, 2010 – 9:35 pm -

Traeger junior is a wood pellet outdoor grill. 19,500 btu’s will get your food cooking with a nice authentic wood fired flavor. The legacy of the Traeger family stretches back across the centuries to the Tauber River Valley of rural Germany, where Friederich Traeger and his family immigrated to the United States settling in South Dakota. As the Traegers became settled in their new homeland they tried their hand at farming, blacksmithing, and operating a tavern, (responsible for the family’s passion for good German beer). During the Great Depression of the 1930’s Joe Traeger, Sr. journeyed to Oregon, where he fell in love with the bountiful land of the Willamette Valley. Writing to the family in South Dakota, he convinced them... more

Lynx BBQ Grills

Written by Dr. Grill on January 9, 2010 – 8:37 pm -

Company History The timing was perfect. When Lynx Professional Grills was started in 1996, the company was committed to elevating outdoor cooking to new levels. At that time, outdoor cooking meant barbecue grills. But within a few years, the trend for outdoor living took off with Lynx perfectly positioned to capitalize on the demand for luxury outdoor kitchens. The creation of Lynx Professional Grills was the vision of a group of people who, for more than 30 years, had been manufacturing stainless steel products for the commercial restaurant industry under the brand BECA. These products were engineered to stand up to heavy use and the test of time, the same “design elements” needed for outdoor kitchen products, which must endure... more

Bbq grill auction

Written by Dr. Grill on January 3, 2010 – 8:14 pm -

Lately I have had a few users comment on their positive experience with BBQ grill auctions. They indicated that origionally they were sceptical of buying a new grill online but they soon overcame those fears. The two main benefits of online grill auctions are price and ease of transportation. In one case a customer of ours was able to buy a new grill through an online grill auction at half the pice they would have paid in a conventional grill purchase. The price savings can be huge. Also free or reduced shipping to your home makes buying a new grill online much easier than picking one up from the store. Assembly could pose an issue if you are not interested in putting your grill together most new grills from online auctions comebin their... more
